In addition to volunteering during the academic year, the RUI Foundation involves both residents and non-residents in work camps for approximately two weeks during the summer.
Nicaragua, India, Guatemala, Peru and Kenya are just some of the projects in act in developing countries that the RUI Foundation together with the local NGO define as real objective and effective actions.
The work camp begins with the desires of students to come into contact with situations of difficulty and abandonment – orphanages and rural villages – to change them, rediscovering the meaning of the word “thanks”.
To give the opportunity to do something that has a broader prospective than just the ordinary university day. To stop complaining and to roll up your sleeves and achieve results that you can touch.
