A network of 5,000 friends

Alumni Rui - Residenze Universitarie InternazionaliThe Rui Alumni Association was born in October 2015 with the aim of reuniting former residents with the regulars of our colleges, putting a premium on this network of people who share the unique and life-changing experience of our residences.

This is why the Association puts in place initiatives of high educational value aimed at promoting constant growth and maintaining the relationships and friendships born in residence.

In our 60 years of operation, there have been over 5,000 students who are now part of our community; it is a network of friends coming from over 50 countries all over the world, who live in Italy and abroad, and who work in various professional spheres.

Events and meetings

There are many networking opportunities and initiatives that liven up the life of our Alumni; these are a chance to meet again and gather together after many years, to meet new people and continue on the educational path started in residence.

Every year, the Association holds a general meeting where there is usually a special guest. Well-known figures from various cultural spheres, from entertainment to sport, our guests have included Remo Ruffini, Neri Marcorè, Edoardo De Angelis, Beatrice Venezi, Gennaro Nunziante, Javier Zanetti, and many others.

There are also many local events and meetings, happy hours and dinners with the traditional tertulia, where you can still find, after many years, the same family-and-friends environment that constitutes a distinctive trait of our residences.

Keep on growing

The Alumni Association will give continuity to the cultural and professional competence acquired during the highly educational years in our residences.

There are many projects devised to follow our Alumni in this lifelong learnig, such as meetings and webinars to reflect on the most important contemporary topics and issues.

Through the Mentoring Program, the Association promotes a process of professional preparation and growth tailored to you, based on a relationship of trust between senior alumnus (the mentor) and junior alumnus (a student or young professional).

Throughout the year there are many opportunities to volunteer or participate in cultural activities, with guided tours in museums and galleries.

Rui Alumni at the service of the residences

Our Alumni are the best spokespersons for our residences, and they support the Rui Foundation by being active participants to its educational programs.

Ex-residents are an integral part of our colleges’ life! They are often guests in residence, and they share their professional and personal experiences with our university students through informal gatherings, which are extremely enriching for both parties.

Many Alumni are also speakers for our JUMP Job-University Matching Project, and they are mentors for senior residents who want to prepare for contemporary job market challenges.
